The new face of French Tourism



The French Government, as part of it strategy to rejuvenate its tourism industry, has created a new France brand that includes a new logo and tagline.

The objective was to establish a strong, united visual identity that can be used throughout the industry and to standardize the image of France worldwide. Advisors to the plan wanted a logo that is striking, witty and generous to express three traits that make France unique

Solar Blinds: Stores Power By Day, Shines By Night


Take your standard Venetian blinds, attach some thin solar panels on them, and let them store energy on batteries during the daytime and allow them to gradually shine as the sun sets. This particular concept is called, "Blight" - which raised our brows at first, but was finally decrypted as a play on the words "blinds" and "light" (duh) after consulting with designer Vincent Gerkens' about his clever solar window concept.

The challenge in this project, was to mix the concept of traditional ceramics, a primitive material with long history in many cultures, with the unique properties high tech ceramics posses like their extreme hardness, scratch- and abrasion-resistance, skin friendliness and their unique sensuous tactility. A briefcase is the medium to explore the potentials of this combination.

Fabrica conceives a global campaign on child injury prevention for UNWHO and UNICEF




The project is presented on December 10th, in Vietnam-Hanoi, day of the launch of the World Report on Child Injury Prevention.

Fabrica continues its series of social communication campaigns with a global advocacy and awareness raising campaign on child injury prevention, on behalf of UNWHO and UNICEF. Fabrica’s Visual Communication department, directed by Omar Vulpinari, has conceived five separate posters and an all-in-one collective poster, that will also become off and on-line ads and displays. Designed to communicate the graveness of the child injury situation worldwide, the goal of the campaign is to urge policy makers to implement prevention measures for the first five injury causes: road traffic injuries, drowning, burns, falls and poisoning.
In order to use a universal visual language related to children, Fabrica’s Austrian graphic designer Valerie Gudenus, created putty characters engaged in the five dangerous situations. While concise informational texts convey the startling facts. The result is visually impacting, memorable and convincing.
